Credit Suisse Group Reports Net Income of CHF 1.2 billion in the second quarter of 2008

Credit Suisse Group has reported a net income of CHF 1,215 million in the second quarter of 2008, compared with a net income of CHF 3,189 million in the second quarter of 2007. Core net revenues were CHF 7,830 million, up 159% from the first quarter of 2008, but down 33% from the second quarter of 2007. Diluted earnings per share in the second quarter of 2008 were CHF 1.12 compared with CHF 2.82 in the same period a year earlier.
