JonesTrading announced that Will Geyer, the firm's president and CEO, left the firm on October 15th to pursue other opportunities.
Chairman Packy Jones will take over as president and CEO.
Geyer joined the firm in April of 2007 to focus on building out JonesTrading's electronic trading push. He joined from Citigroup where he oversaw the firm's development and deployment of its global front-end electronic trading platform.

Since the initiatives have been implemented the statement says Geyer has now made the decision to move n from JonesTrading.
Packy Jones said in the statement, "During his tenure at JonesTrading, Will Geyer has been an integral part of the team that brought expansion to the firm and its growth in the marketplace. We are grateful for the contributions he has made and wish him well as he moves to pursue new opportunities."
