Informa Investment Solutions Partners With Ibbotson Associates

Chicago-based Ibbotson Associates has agreed to provide an Investor Risk Tolerance Questionnaire, Asset Class Model Portfolios and Capital Market Assumptions to financial planning and investment planning by Informa Investment Solutions (IIS) applications. This information will be incorporated into IIS' Wealth Management System, iDecide and AdvisorDecide products.

As a result of this partnership, IIS will now be able to license iDecide and AdvisorDecide to small and mid-sized advisory organizations in addition to the enterprise level licenses that the company currently offers. "This new agreement capitalizes on the strengths of both firms," explained Michael Annin, managing director of Ibbotson Associates, in the press release. "IIS is one of the leaders in providing wealth management solutions, and Ibbotson is well-known for its leadership position in the field of asset allocation. Together we are able to offer a comprehensive planning tool."

"Through the partnership with Ibbotson Associates, IIS is expanding the availability of its investment and financial planning products and its critical components to any organization that needs a turnkey solution to provide advice and gather assets for the firm," added Lac An Vuong, managing director of Informa Investment Solutions, in a statement.

David De Louya Named General Manager (Americas) for Odyssey Asset Management Systems

David De Louya has been named General Manager (Americas) for Odyssey Asset Management Systems, a New York-based provider of wealth management and private banking solutions. In this role, De Louya will focus on the development of the company's business in the U.S. and Canada and manage the sales and operations organization.

De Louya has worked predominately in the financial markets since 1983. He was instrumental in setting up the original financial practice of IBM in the U.S., prior to the acquisition of PWC, and has been involved in the management of various wealth management and private banking IT projects. "David brings a proven track record of achievement and excellence to Odyssey's management team with a strong strategic services and solutions-oriented view," said Antoine Duchateau, chief executive officer of Odyssey, in a statement.

Southwest Securities Selects SunGard's WealthStation

Dallas-based Southwest Securities (SWS) has chosen SunGard's WealthStation, a Web-based workstation that helps financial advisers manage the various assets of high-net-worth investors. The firm will implement WealthStation in an ASP environment for its diversified group of financial advisers, independent representatives and correspondent brokers. "We needed a comprehensive service that could easily integrate into our diverse business model, and we chose WealthStation because it provides a turnkey solution that helps our advisers and brokers to monitor and manage entire client portfolios," said Holly Peritz, senior vice president and director of Southwest Securities' Investment Management Group, in the press release. "WealthStation will help us to migrate from a previously fragmented approach to a single, seamless platform across business lines, with the flexibility to add modules to accommodate business expansion and changing needs." In June, Southwest Securities will provide WealthStation to its Private Client Group of approximately 100 financial advisers and to SWS Group's independent brokerage firm, SWS Financial Services, of about 400 registered representatives. Over the next several months, Southwest Securities also will roll out the service to its 200 correspondent brokerage firms.
